DESCRIPTION:Date: Monday\, May 13\, 2024 \nTime: 9:00am-2:00pm \nLocation: White County Community Corrections \nCost:  Free; must bring own taser cartridges \nRegistration: Email Bobby Boner at bobby.bonner@whitecounty.in.gov to register for this training. \nDescription: Taser initial and recertification training will be held from 9am-12pm.  Certified Taser instructors will be present to provide said training.  Participants will need to complete an online session prior to attending the in-person training.  Participants will also need to contact White County Community Corrections with the type of Taser device your agency uses.  Participants of this training will also need to bring their own taser and a minimum of 2 cartridges. \nMental Health and Substance Abuse Review training will be held from 12pm-2pm.  This training will focus on answering the question\, “Is substance abuse a personality disorder or a chronic brain disease?”  This training will also address the treatment modalities that may result from the answer to this question.  Finally\, this training will address what social dynamics contribute to chemical dependency.
