Ambulatory Interventions Related to Opioid Use Disorder/Quick Response Teams

  • This event has passed.

This is a great opportunity for your county partners if you don’t mind pushing out to those entities. Our goal is to provide case-based education and mentorship in the clinical and emergency intervention/management of Opioid Use Disorder, in order to build capacity for delivery of high quality best-practice care. We have been contracted by Indiana’s Family and Social Services Agency to provide this service, free of charge to Emergency Medical, Law Enforcement, Fire Fighters, Emergency Dept. Personnel & Clinicians, Recovery Coaches, Behavioral Health providers and more.

This high-impact opportunity is accomplished by linking community-based providers and first responders with an inter-disciplinary team of expert specialists, led by the Indiana University School of Medicine, using Zoom videoconferencing technology.  Experts mentor and share their expertise across a virtual network via case-based learning, enabling best practices to emerge in their own communities.  Our bi-weekly 90 minute sessions, consists of a brief lecture on a topic related to OUD and a review and discussion of 1-2 cases submitted by participants.
