Description:  Presented by the USI Social Work department and NASW Indiana Chapter in celebration of National Professional Social Work Month. Morning and afternoon workshops will provide opportunities to explore various dimensions of social work practice while earning CE hours. Recognition will be given to the NASW Region 8 social worker of the year and the social work community partner of the year.

Our keynote speaker, Dr. James Marley will be presenting Ethic and the Online World of Social Work. Dr. Marley is Associate Professor and Associate Dean for Academics at Loyola University Chicago. His teaching and writing focus on people with serious mental health issues, the role of family in the treatment of serious mental health issues, family interventions, and professional ethics.

* Session I Topics include: Collaborative Problem Solving: An EBP to Reduce Challenging Behaviors in Children and Adolescents, NASW Code of Ethics, Social Workers Unmasked: Exploring Resiliency, Burnout, and Self-Care During a Pandemic, Supporting Clinical Supervision in Changing Times, Bloomington PD Embedded Social Work Program: Growth and Goals for the Future, Self-Care and Self-Compassion: An Ethical Approach to Professional Wellness.

* Session II Topics include: First in Self-Care… Social Work Safety, Doggone It: Creative Treatment Through Animal Assisted Interventions, What to Make Public About Private Practice, Neurodiversity: Changing Paradigms and Challenging Stigmas, Human Trafficking.
